Note: I decided to replace poor old Howard (he wasn't working out). Here is a character for a story I never wrote called Sands of Mars. The rest of the mecha descriptions will come later.

Personality: Much like his Mecha, The Redsand Reaver, Dorian is easy to overlook. He is a silent loner in public, but in the Speed Battle Arenas he is upbeat and surrounded by friends. Dorian is resourceful having built most of his arena team's mecha from junkpile parts.
Appearance: Dorian is usually seen in his pilot's jumpsuit or greasy coveralls. He has brown eyes and bright red hair. He wears an uplink unit with display over his right ear and eye, which constantly feeds him Information from his workshop terminal, Civnet, and a not quite deactivated military database
Bio: Born in 2955, Dorian was one of the first second generation martians born. His earliest memories are from the Great City War of 2960-70. In which the subterranean cities of the wealthy and powerful had hired great mecha legions to settle their disputes through surface warfare, not caring about the lives of the surface colonists. Dorian built his first mecha in 2971, unveiling it at the 2972 Speed Battle Arena Season Opener. Since then Dorian has built an entire SBA squad, though his pilot roster isn't entirely full.

Appearance: Evan wears a fancy outfit, including a very stylish neckcloth, and large wide-brimmed hat pinned up on one side with a feather in the band. He wears his hair shoulder length and close cut neat beard. He carries a 14-inch long Churchwarden pipe and flute with him at all times.

Bio: Evan Daldari is the son of a wealthy caravan merchant from Azol. Resenting his wealth, Evan took up the sword and marched with the Last Lord of Coval against Loros at the age of 13. He fought under the banner of Coval until he was 19. After losing what little money he had to a gang of thieves, Evan took to the shadow world of the city of Kas'dragul becoming a thin and shoddy thief himself. Evan's luck changed when a heist went wrong and he was caught breaking into the home of Captain Jorla Kana. Instead of being angry about the robbery, Captain Baxter scolded Evan for not planning properly and took him into service aboard his ship (The Swift Arrow). After 4 years at sea practicing the fine art of privateering, Evan had picked up the art of Frelosian fencing and a Frelosian dueling set along with a breastplate and Elite Guard poncho cover. Having his fill of piracy, Evan jumped ship in Frelos and took up thievery again with more success. Paying his way through four years of University, Evan has just gotten a degree in oration. The world is his apple, will he be able to pluck it or will he fall to his doom?
