These rules get warnings. They will very, very rarely get you in big trouble.
1. Stay in character: when posting in any of the In Character sections, stay in character. Do not use ((parentheses)) or {brackets} for out of character. Post in the roleplay's out of character board or PM a member for a more immediate response.
2. Smut: See this sticky.
3. Grammar and Literacy: Roleplay addicts is a community forum that accepts writers of all styles and grammar levels. Still, it is required that you stick to the sections where your levels of writing fit. There is a section for writers who are looking for help, complete with lists of resources in the Is This Real Life? category. There are (or will be) plenty of members willing to help you out with improving the quality of your roleplay.
4. Originality and Plagiarism: Members are more than welcome to migrate existing roleplays from other forums, like Gaia. However, it is not okay to migrate roleplays and ideas stolen from others. Ask permission first. For anyone who finds something that belongs to them, bring proof to one of the staff members so that we may sort out the issue.
